About Us

We're for the ones who see beyond the surface, who hunger for depth in a world of shallow. For those who know that what we wear isn't just seen – it's felt, it's lived.

We are storytellers, rebels, artists. Our clothes whisper tales of triumph, shout defiance against adversity, and paint beauty with every stitch. Rooted in Toronto but speaking to the world, we craft more than garments – we create conversations and highlight artistry that emerges from the shadows of history.

Because you understand that what you wear is who you are – your history, your struggle, your victory.

Our brand is a visual language that celebrates the beauty born from struggle and the resilience forged in adversity.

We weave triumphant tales of the Black diaspora into the very fabric of Japanese-inspired streetwear.

Design Ethos Commandments

Guiding principles we use to design that align with the intention of our brand. Highly inspired by Virgil Abloh.
  • We live by the 3% rule and you will find many flips or references of existing works in our designs.

  • We will reference roots or what we deem as home. Often including references of Toronto, Canada and Pan-African culture.

  • You will find a constant compromise between two dissimilar notions in our work. The strongest being inspiration from Japanese designers fit into a narrative of streetwear.

  • We elevate the aspects of a garment that are ignored

  • We find our intentionality of designing in societal commentary, even if our commentary is wrong.

  • We live for storytelling, a great story inspires us. We tell stories that have an emphasis on adversity, triumph and the black experience.

  • It gets the people going.

  • We inject puns, emotion and humour into the design process

  • We hide deeper meaning into the brand for those who get it, but we don't ignore the those who are new to certain ideas, or are just interested in the physical appearance of a design.

  • We aren't afraid to create aesthetically pleasing designs and build context and meaning as a forethought.
